Cyber Start America Kick Off

Join STEM@GTRI and an all-star guest panel from Georgia’s cybersecurity industry! We’ll discuss cybersecurity careers, how to enter the cyber field, and how CyberStart America can propel your entry into this lucrative industry. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about CyberStart America, and how to register, as well as ask questions to our experts live on the call.

GaDOE Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Conference

Hosted by GaDOE’s Office of Technology Services, this three-day conference will bring together district and state experts and other government agency partners to increase knowledge and promote collaboration in the areas of data, privacy, and cybersecurity. With the mission of empowering educators, the conference aims to support positive outcomes for data practices and technology integration.

CS4GA Focus Session: After School/ Out of School CS Experiences

Welcome to the exciting out-of-school/after-school focus session! This Focus session is designed to inform educators of out-of-school and after-school organizations that inspire young minds and ignite a passion for coding, problem-solving, and creative thinking while providing support. During the session, partners will participate in a roundtable discussion on how to create an inclusive space where students from diverse backgrounds can come together to explore their creativity and express their ideas. Each partner encourages peer learning, and student collaboration on projects, and supports confidence and growth in computer science. This session is open to educators from all content backgrounds. Computer science has interdisciplinary connections to various subjects like math, science, and art. By offering an out-of-school/after-school session, it can reinforce cross-curricular learning, helping students make connections between computer science and other academic disciplines.

STEM Career Talks: Hispanic Heritage Month

Join STEM@GTRI for a special Direct to Discovery interaction focused on careers in STEM in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Our guest speakers will share their experiences and journeys in STEM careers, as well as share their advice for students as they think about their own futures. This session will be held in English.

CS4GA District Implementation Workshop

The district implementation workshops are designed to help district teams build an implementation plan for computer science. Using the CSForAll SCRIPT tool, we work with participants to explore various facets of implementing computer science.

Reading with a Researcher: CSEd Week

Join us in celebration of CSEdWeek with a special virtual guest reader Direct to Discovery interaction. We'll be joined by GT faculty who will read technology-themed picture books, share about their day-to-day work as computer/technology professionals, and answer student questions.
