SUMMARY:CS4GA Focus Session: After School/ Out of School CS Experiences
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the exciting out-of-school/after-school focus session! This Focus session is designed to inform educators of out-of-school and after-school organizations that inspire young minds and ignite a passion for coding\, problem-solving\, and creative thinking while providing support. \nDuring the session\, partners will participate in a roundtable discussion on how to create an inclusive space where students from diverse backgrounds can come together to explore their creativity and express their ideas. Each partner encourages peer learning\, and student collaboration on projects\, and supports confidence and growth in computer science. This session is open to educators from all content backgrounds. Computer science has interdisciplinary connections to various subjects like math\, science\, and art. By offering an out-of-school/after-school session\, it can reinforce cross-curricular learning\, helping students make connections between computer science and other academic disciplines.
